This week in the Autumn Learning Journey, there was a task to make an autumn-themed build in Minecraft. I made one and I am very proud of it. I can’t link it here but I have made some screenshots. Here they are.

This is my autumn learning journey it is  a song made on music lab chrome experiments 

This is my ANZAC work 

My autumn learning journey is  a song that reminds me of autumn. My ANZAC work is about why ANZAC   is important to us. I hope you like my music 

I really liked  making the song and the ANZAC creates and I hope you like them too because I worked really hard on them and I had extra time to work on the ANZAC creates . The ANZAC work was for ANZAC day in the school holidays.

For Autumn learning journey there were 1 to 20 options to choose from so I chose the third one and it was to draw a rapter drawing so I drew a rapter and I also drew a background for it.

This week in the Tumu Hub we have been learning about the ANZAC war . We had to read 4 books and watch 4 videos about the ANZAC war or the lead up to the war. We had an option for what we had to do for our create. I chose to do a poster and it had a recipe for ANZAC cookies and it had basic facts and more hope you like it…

This April and early May we have been learning about Anzac, I have made a poster about Anzac day for you so you can learn about the story of Anzac day. This will tell you some facts about Anzac day and tell you what made Anzac. I hope you like my presentation!

I have been doing some of the Autumn learning Journey  activities. At the moment I have been doing a painting activity, there were lots of paintings and you had to pick one and say what your first reaction was, you had to write a question for the artist and why you think the artist created the work. Click here to find out what painting I chose and how I answered the questions.

Traditional Maori food storage:

Pataka – these were small raised buildings that were used to store food for ceremonies and winter.

Storage pits – holes in the ground for food like kumera.  These were sealed off from rats and mice.

Harvest time, wealth of food, the wealth of people:

This for me means that the Maori people at harvest time, you had more food, so people will have lots to eat so they will be wealthy (because they can trade and will also be healthy).

Today I am blogging about the Whakatauki activity. It was fun and hard at the same time. Although  I love to learn new things, I had trouble figuring out what it really means. Hello everyone,

Today I am talking about the traditional Maori food storage, where and how they stored their food.  The Moaries ate rice, kumara and many other types of kai. Kai means food. They did not know where to put the rice so they all came up with an idea and that was to create a food storage  to store all of the rice away from animals. Food is usually stored for later use. Kumara is stored for winter where food is difficult to get. Now it is time bring out my food storage poster.

Hello everyone,

ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corp that served at the Gallipoli Campaign.

Today I did the ANZAC poppies on the Piskel website. The color I choose is the color red and black because it represents ANZAC. I was having trouble at 1st but in the end I managed to get used to it. For this activity you have to go on the Piskel website and make ANZAC poppies with the color red and the color black. After you finish you take a screenshot and blog about it. I think it is time to show my ANZAC poppies.

The poppies signify the time when the soldiers were at the Gallipoli war and there was a field of red poppies next to them. ANZAC Day is a really important event to remember because it is to remember the strong and brave soldiers who died when fighting for their country in the world war. Especially the NZ and Australian Army Corp during the Gallipoli Campaign.

I did the Dawn Parade once at Cranmer Square with my Scouts group called St. Matthews LLO.  We went to the ANZAC Parade to remind us that many have sacrificed for the peace we enjoy.
