Big hair

In the Yr 8 art class with Ms. Shaw, we are doing the “big hair project” to learn different techniques, and to have somnme fun. The way we do this, is:

  1. We take a photo of ourselves, (the sillier the better)
  2. We cut out the sihlouette of us, (you can either keep your og hair or make yourself bald)
  3. We glue the sihlouette onto a long rectangle peice of paper,
  4. We trace a massive whatever on top of your head foor your hair,
  5. We color in the massive shape, adding in patterns and designs along the way,
  6. And then you can choose to color in the background, or you can leave it blank.

The hardest part for me was probably finding the inspiration for the designs /patterns, and the choosing of the colors Overall this was a really fun experience, and I can’t wait to finish it.

Big Hair Art

I used coloured ink such as white, a dark blue and a black fine liner pen.

I flicked white coloured ink onto the background of the art. It came out and looked like a night sky.

I did Maori patterns for my hair, 2 sharks on the side with Maori patterns in them and I did a maori design strip on the bottom of my page. And I did a big french mustache.

Awesome oobleck!

In science, we made oobleck, which has some interesting properties. The oobleck forms into a solid when you are moving fast but when it starts to fall out of your hand it turns into a liquid and it goes soft.  If you keep moving it in your hand then it will stay in a solid and if  you stop moving it, it turns into a liquid.

Surfing 4 life lessons

On Wednesday mornings we have been going to surfing.  We have learned how to surf, but that is not the main reason we are there.  We are there to be better people.  My favourite part is the surfing.  Charles and Janine are some of the nicest people to ever exist, and their granddaughter also comes and helps us. We have a little schedule where if the water looks nice, we surf first, then after we have lunch. After we have eaten and more settled we do a workshop. Then sometimes we watch a bit of our movie.

the fox and the crow

the fodx and the crow is a story about not being used of being complimeted but its a lie there usuing like a hawk no escape make sure you are not being used it was a very intresting story abiut a fox and a crow the fox said to the cr0w oh youur voice crow was flattred dropping its food and given it to the fox on accsident he was not pleased so he did nothing the story ended there i would prefer a better story ending cause the ending was bad so i would like better ending the story is a yes would read again maybe in free time i dont know fin

Tracy Tawhiao panels

in art class we did Tracy Tawhiao kind of art.

I just use a lot of white paint with my thing but made it way weirder then I thought and using blue and green and I made some swirly paterns. It was meant to be for just out lines and doing dots but it made me mess thats because I dont really like art at all but I like the back round I made but it was nice.
